Medication Review and Academic Detailing Group
The Medication Review and Academic Detail! ing (MRAD) Group at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Department of Pharmacy Practice is a pilot unit within the College of Pharmacy that provides specific medication prior authorization services for the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS). The MRAD Group is currently seeking a qualified individual for the position of pharmacy technician. This is a temporary position of 900 hours.
MRAD Pharmacy Technician
The individual will be responsible for assisting and supporting pharmacists in the prior authorization process for clients of Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS). The individual will extract and organize faxed prior approval requests, complete and send requested forms to providers and communicate status on prior approval requests to healthcare providers. The individual will work under the direct supervision of licensed pharmacists.
MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
1. Current re! gistration as a Pharmacy Technician with the State of Illinois! .
2. a) Successful completion of a six-month formal training program in technical,
non-professional pharmaceutical procedures and practices
OR
b) Six months of work experience in technical, non-professional pharmaceutical
procedures and practices
Salary: $14.75 per hour. Maximum 900 hours Temporary Help
Beginning date: ASAP
