Rothstein CORE Center Chief Medical Officer and in cooperation with the System Director of Pharmacy, dire! cts the operations of the CORE Center Pharmacy, including budgeting, medication assistance programs, IND pharmacy, clean room operation, automated (robotic) dispensing and supervision of personnel. Maintains compliance with all applicable standards including JCAHO, IDPH, FDA-GCP, and JCH. Develops and works with pharmacy and other staff to implement appropriate policies. Serves a member of the CORE cost control committee to provide cost effective therapy as well as a CORE representative to the System Drug and Formulary Committee. Provides directs services to patients and carries out all tasks of a registered pharmacist/PharmD. Directs CORE Pharmacy QA programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be
licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Illinois

Graduation from a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education or equivalent with a Doctor of Pha! rmacy
is required. (Must provide original college/uni! versity transcript at time of interview)
Three (3)
years of post-graduate experience in outpatient pharmacy operations
is required.
Experience in HIV care
is required.
Training and experience in clean room operations
is required
.
Two (2)
years of full-time paid work experience in the management of pharmacy operations
is required.
Experience or training in Quality Improvement
is preferred.
Experience in FDA-GCP and ICH requirements of IND pharmacy operations
is preferred.
Bilingual skills in English/Spanish both written and oral communication
is preferred.
MUST MEET ALL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AT TIME OF APPLICATION FILING.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Thorough knowledge of: hospital and pharmacy policies, procedures and techniques; Federal and State laws and regulations relating to hosp! ital pharmacy practice and TJC standards. Skilled in: practicing as a dispensing pharmacist, investigational new drug pharmacist, and compounding pharmacist (clean room). Ability to: effectively communicate and work with patients, supportive and professional personnel, pharmacy staff, medical providers, social and benefit workers and outside pharmacies; interpret and prepare statistical reports; and effectively manage and train staff.
