Serves as the primary clinical support for management of formularies for all Catamaran commercial clients. Works within the formulary tool to manage a! ll commercial formularies and with client services to update, make changes and review formularies. Work with internal partners on formulary and clinical program offerings and development.

Development and maintenance of Catamaran standard and custom commercial, Medicaid, and Essential Health Benefits formularies.
Work collaboratively with clients and clinical account managers to assist in design of custom formularies.
Develop and maintain standard clinical drug lists.
Serve as clinical expert for all formulary-management related activities.
Be aware of current and emerging trends in formulary and benefit design.
Continuously look for ways to streamline and improve the quality of the formulary management process.
Assist in training and mentoring of pharmacy students and interns.
Other activities as determined by the Director, Formulary Services.

Excellent knowledge of all aspects of formulary management including but not limited t! o managing preferred drug lists, communicating formulary updat! es and maintaining formulary documents.
Knowledge of and experience in formulary management required.
Residency trained plus a minimum of 1 yr clinical experience (without residency- a minimum of 3 years clinical experience required).
Familiarity with prescription benefit, formulary and clinical program design.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Strong customer service orientation and commitment to professionalism.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Pharm.D. degree and pharmacy license or eligible to be licensed in the state of Illinois required.
