education programs, support and pharmacy coordination
Ke! y Responsibilities:

Maintain and update medical records such as treatment plans and physician order sheets at long-term care facilities
·
Coordinate and approve Continuing Education (CE) offerings
·
Conduct Medication Pass reviews
·
Solicit and consult with facility’s Director of Nursing (DON) and staff concerning nursing services
·
Assist DON and staff with troubleshooting and correcting problem areas and/or improving services
·
Work closely with consultant pharmacist to provide interdisciplinary approach to patient, consulting and specialty services as required
·
Conduct mock surveys as requested and scheduled via the pharmacy to ensure compliance with the Department of Health surveys
·
Develop and prepare material and in-service education for facility staff
·
Assume scheduled on call
·

Involved in customer service and marketing services provi! ded by the pharmacy
·
Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary by location
Management Responsibilities:

Minimum (Required) Qualifications:
(must be met in order to perform the job at the required level)
·
Registered nurse in states where nursing care is delivered
·
Must have at least two (2) years of recent nursing experience that includes, but is not limited to direct patient care, physical assessment, patient education, and group in-servicing
·
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
·
Ability to work independently
·
Valid motor vehicle license and current CPR certification
Preferred Qualifications:
(if above and beyond the minimum required)
·
BS preferred
·
Basic IV therapy skills are helpful
·
Long-term care experience
! Physical Demands:
May sit, stand, bend and walk intermittently during the day.
May be necessary to work extended hours as needed. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal voice sounds. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this role.
