Description: Omnicare Inc. is in need of Pharmacist- Clinical Specialist Clinical Intervention Center right now, this vacancy will be situated in Illinois. Responsible for supervising the staff including but not limited to Patient Specific Therapeutic Interchange (PSTI) Specia! lists, Adjudication, Initiation and follow up Pharmacy Technicians as directed by the Clinical Intervention Center Manager and or Senior Director. Duties Include but are not limited to resolving rejected clinical claims ,checking and initiating PSTI opportunities, Medication Therapy Management and other Clinical Programs.
Key Responsibilities:

Review, triage and perform clinical reject resolution includes working with all CIC staff, all customers, and all other Omnicare employees.

Review, triage and execute therapeutic interchange and other clinical programs.
·
Serve as a senior clinical advisor to other staff positions and serve as a professional role model to others as required.

Review PSTI orders for accuracy and clinical appropriateness as directed
·
Where eligible and as needed, participate in additional licensing.
·
Conduct in-services or ! conference calls in conjunction with the Managers.

Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
·
Display behavior which exemplifies employee code of conduct guidelines.

Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary by location.

Minimum (Required and Preferred ) Qualifications:
(must be met in order to perform the job at the required level):
Licensed in the state of Illinois and eligible for licensing in additional state(s). BS Pharmacy or Pharmacy-D required.
Must be proficient in data entry and Microsoft Office programs.
Extremely strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work effectively cross-functionally with all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:

1-3 years fulltime Pharmacy experience.
Physical Demands:
May sit, stand, st! oop, bend and walk intermittently during the day. May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed. Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required. May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion. Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal voice sounds. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this role.
