Position Summ! ary:
The Clinical Pharmacy Analyst has primary respons! ibility for providing clinically-based analytics and consulting to retail pharmacy clients. By leveraging leverage powerful and rich data, the Clinical Pharmacy Analyst will perform custom analytics and offer consultative insights that lead to meeting business objectives and contributing to overall client strategy. Other activities include learning and staying informed on the complex and comprehensive Source Health Solutions (SHS) product line; developing and maintaining expert level knowledge of the retail pharmacy space.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains expert level knowledge of retail pharmacy practices by staying up-to-date with pharmacy industry information, including trends and best practices, through research and self-directed learning; researches disease states and therapeutic categories to be able to design solutions around them; able to analyze various sources of pharmacy, provider, and patient data in orde! r to create valuable reports and insights that meet customer demands; aids in the development and execution of client strategies; understands the pharmacy marketplace and identifying customers’ competitors.
  • Leads new customer projects to ensure quality and timing of results by participating in the project kick-off and status meetings; provides consultation and leadership to ensure design, fulfillment, and execution of projects; and presents the final work product to the customer upon completion.
  • Serves as a clinical subject matter expert to sales and other areas in the organization by educating team members on retail pharmacy solutions and assists in advancing and closing sales cycles; informally trains and coaches practice consultants, analysts, and customer service personnel as part of normal course of business to ensure knowledge is shared and disseminated into the organization; conducts formal training sessions upon request.
  • Consults with su! ppliers and pharmacy clients to identify and support new business devel! opment to meet team quarterly and annual sales goals; crafts a methodological approach to meet client objectives, including design and documentation for customized deliverables; effectively articulates the value of proposed deliverable/solution through a formal client presentation and addressing objections; working with pricing web site information, pricing manager and/or VP of Analytics to appropriately price deliverable to ensure acceptable margin; and creating a detailed work plan that will drive the solution.
Qualifications

Education:
Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, research-based social science, statistics, pharmacology, or quantitative methods; OR, if no degree, 10 years of professional experience.
Preferred: Registered Pharmacist, Master’s Degree or Doctorate Degree in pharmacy, healthcare administration, business, marketing, research-based social science, statistics, pharmacology, pharmacoeconom! ics or quantitative methods.

Minimum Experience:
  • 7 years of related experience, in some combination of operations, consulting, project management, leadership, or sales within pharmacy operations, the pharmacy industry, or related support industry (e.g., consulting, data provider) in specified practice area.
  • Making in-person presentations to prospective clients to explain the business’ products and services and their alignment with the client’s needs.
  • Selling a complex product/service/solution requiring in-depth knowledge of the client’s business and how solution meets that need.
  • Consistent achievement of sales quotas.
  • Consultative selling approach.
  • Leading cross-functional groups to create analytic solutions.
  • Working with complex datasets to create information and solutions with little guidance or oversight.
Preferred Experience (includes minimum):
  • 10 year! s of related experience, in some combination of strategic consulting, p! roject management, leadership, or sales within pharmacy operations, the pharmacy industry, or related support industry (e.g., consulting, data provider) in specified practice area.
  • Web-based software product delivery.
  • Exp erience analyzing EMR/EHR data.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Expert level knowledge of the healthcare industry in practice area.
  • Expert level knowledge of current solutions available in practice area.
  • Expertise in specific therapeutic categories.
  • Sales process and activities.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and oral communication.
  • Customer focused.
  • Critical Thinking â€" uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Complex Problem Solving â€" review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel (Advanced skills preferred)
Travel Requirements:
  • Local and national travel 60% to 80% of work time.
