Job Description:
Responsible for the provision of clinical and distributive pharmacy services for patients receiving treatment within his/her assigned area. Pharmacists are aligned with a medical service or group of patients based on a geographical area within the University of Chicago hospitals. To provide active participation in related education and research activities.
Qualifications:
A. Education:
1. Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy.
2. Doctor of Pharmacy or another advanced degree preferred.
3. Registered pharmacists in the state of Illinois.
B. Experience and Training:
1.Completion of an ASHP accredited residency highly preferred.
2. Two years hospital ! pharmacy experience in an organized health care setting prefer! red.
3. Exceptional aptitude or knowledge may be considered in lieu of experience.
C. Knowledge:
1. Knowledge of contemporary hospital/clinical practice and service.
2. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
3. Ability to interact constructively with supervisors, peers, support personnel, and students.
4. Knowledge and understanding of general hospital operations.
5. Ability to integrate clinical services, distributive services, education, and research activities.
