Description: Adventist Midwest Health is presently looking of PHARMACY TECH, Casual hours, days/eve/weekends right now, this vacancy will be reside in Illinois. Performs pharmaceutical distributive functions to assist in the caring for patients in a professional manner. Assists in the traini! ng of new employees. May assist in the selection of technical staff. Assists pharmacists in the preparation of medications by performing routine and technical aspects of prescription processing. Serves as an assistant to the pharmacist in all mechanical phases of hospital pharmacy operations. Works under pharmacist s supervision. Fills/refills Automatic Dispensing Machine/ADM (Pyxis) as necessary. Checks medications for outdates as assigned. Position carries responsibility for other members of the healthcare team. This individual will often coordinate his/her work to meet the ever-changing needs of the department/hospital. He/she has the expressed authority to carry out the duties as defined in the job description.
