This position will perform quality assurance activities and administrative support for the designated payer team.
Reviews payer-related documentation for accuracy and makes the necessary corrections as needed.
Verifies insurance information and computer data entry for accuracy and completeness and resolves discrepancies as needed.
Obtains clinical information needed to support payer medical necessity requirements and to support the billing process.
Processes information received from intake and branch personnel.
Organizes and catalogs incoming documentation for the department.
Facilitates communication between! the branch personnel and departments.
Complies with and a! dheres to all regulatory and compliance areas, policies and procedures, and ''best practices.'
Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.
Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma is required.
At least two years of related experience is required.
Proficient computer skills, including word-processing, database management, spreadsheets, email and calendaring.
