Responsibilities The Managing Director and Physician Lead will be responsible for the profitable growth of the firm's Clinical and Operational Excellence Practice. The ideal candidate will bring extensive healthcare industry experience with a proven track record of delivering innovative clinical and strategic performance solutions to hospitals and health systems. This individual will lead the design, development, and implementation of solutions to create high performing health care organizations design and lead a portfolio of critical consulting engagements at hospitals and health systems across the country.
The MD will participate in and help direct nationwide business development and relationship management activities for Navigant Healthcare clients and prospects and provide leadership for structuring and integrating current offerings to serve their needs. Finally, this individual will play a key role in helping guide the firm's continued development of leading-edge consulting, in the clinical and operational performance improvement service line. This role will have responsibility for the Client Relationship Management, New Business Development, Consulting Staff Leadership and Content Expertise of related services. Skill Requirements
Proven experience developing client relationships including current and prospective clients, ability to assess and define their needs, position relevant products and services to address their requirements, and play a key role in securing new business for the firm. Proven ability to develop senior-level relationships with both hospitals and national health systems. A high level of intelligence, strategic, analytical, and conceptual skills; a practical approach to problem solving and business growth. Business development or consultative sales experience in a professional services environment. Outstanding written and oral communication skills including public speaking for large and small groups, the ability to leverage the written word in a clear, concise, and compelling manner as a tool for communication and persuasion. Master's degree in business, healthcare administration, or equivalent professional experience; RN or MD degree desirable but not required. Comfort with ambiguity, a strong sense of confidence without arrogance, creative but practical, flexible but with a strong results orientation, appreciation for the importance of details but with a higher calling to advance strategic imperatives. The highest levels of professional and personal integrity. 10+ years of increasing responsibility in healthcare consulting. Deep content expertise in hospital and integrated delivery system performance improvement. Demonstrated track record in business development, client management, and measurable results for clients in health care services including the ability to cross sell.
