We are currently seeking a qualified Supervisor of Pharmacy to join our team for a full-time opportunity in Chicago. UCMC offers a highly competitive hourly wage, and also offers a great benefits package.
The CPT Supervisor of Pharmacy is responsible for working with pharmacy managers to provide direct oversight of the general operations, day to day staffing, personnel activities, and fiscal accountability for the inpatient areas of the pharmacy. The Pharmacy Supervisor works as a member of the pharmacy team for assigned shifts and facilitates management interventions as needed to optimize pharmacy operations and personnel activities.
Job Responsibilities
Routinely performs staff activities (pharmacist and/or advanced pharmacy technician as appropriate for licensure) during assigned shifts
Supports the general scheduling process, coor! dinates support for pharmacy staffing shortages (pharmacist an! d technician), facilitates communication between shifts and to pharmacy managers, provides education to staff (pharmacist and technician), and oversees operational and financial metrics of performance
Assumes responsibility and accountability for the provision of safe, effective, and timely medication therapy as well as reliable pharmaceutical care to a variety of patient populations
Assists in the development of goals for the department and works with managers and key individuals such as physicians, nurses, and other hospital personnel to facilitate the accomplishment of these goals
Leader actively identifies practice related issues which require evaluation and facilitates quality improvement initiatives, or staff education as needed to advance practice
