For complete informations about this vacancy opportunity kindly read the description below. Responsible for creating and managing the dissemination of medical information. Provides scientifically balanced medical information on products to external (physicians, pharmacists, nurse! s, and other health care professionals) and internal customers. Receives, investigates and reports complaints regarding the safety, efficacy, and quality of our products.
Responsibilities
Creating, tracking and managing medical information, including Standard Response letters and fulfillment of ad hoc requests
Research and respond to unsolicited requests for medical information from health care professionals regarding the company's marketed products (clinical and technical)
Maintains an in-depth understanding of product knowledge, labeling, and relevant data for company products and maintains current awareness for the published literature.
Serve as a medical expert and act as a liaison with Global Production and Market Units for medical information on company marketed products, as well as products in development, providing due diligence materials for quality investigations and business development opportunities, and factual suppo! rt of marketing pieces.
Responsible for review and ap! proval of promotional material for fair balance (benefits vs. risks)
Receives, processes, and contributes to the investigation of product quality complaints
Provides product support during afterhours (on-call).
Knowledgable of all pertinent medical information publications, requirements, and guidelines on medical communications/information
Interacts with the Quality and Regulatory Departments to resolve safety and quality issues
Maintains a courteous, cheerful and cooperative demeanor at all times, with both internal and external customers.
Requirements
Medical/clinical professional degree required i.e., PharmD, RPh, RN degree
Medical information/communications experience preferred
Experience in a hospital setting preferred
Ability to understand and interpret federal regulations and company operating procedures to determine whether the event constitutes a potential product quality issu! e.
Ability to critically evaluate the published medical and scientific literature and write and update comprehensive, medically accurate and scientifically fair-balanced standard response documents for response to medical information inquiries from healthcare providers
Knowledge of PC systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Lotus Notes preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Ability to multi-task required
Must be able to prioritize and multi-task with minimal supervision, and participate in peer-review process when processing medical inquires, product complaints and adverse drug events.
