Responsible for overall management of infusion therapy pharmacy operations by managing infusion support staff, maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements, overseeing the! infusion therapy patient management programs on ongoing basis and ensuring inventory management is accurate for all infusion dispensing sites from a quality, cost, safety and attention detail perspective.
Overall responsibility for supporting the generation of revenue by working with the Sales team to cultivate and foster good working referral relationships with providers related to infusion therapy and developing payer relationships in order to maximize the pharmacy's ability to service referrals that are sent to the pharmacy.
Lead and direct the daily operations of the infusion therapy patient management program.
Performs baseline clinical assessment for new hemophilia patients.
Primary clinical consultant for all infusion therapy patients.
Collaborate with infusion therapy management team to ensure smooth performance of overall pharmacy operations related to infusion therapy management on a daily basis.
Assure company goals are achieved! for quality, compliance, service and financial performance. Ensure SOP development and execution as part of core operations in infusion therapy management practice.
Manage and oversee the hiring and training process for infusion therapy support staff.
Excel at customer services and meet expectations for infusion patient satisfaction survey goals.
Manage infusion product inventory levels and all expenses - labor, facility, inventory COG's.
Grow revenue through collaboration with the Sales team by working with payers, pharma, and providers.
Assure continuous regulatory compliance for pharmacy practice as related to infusion therapy management and operations.
Obtain and maintain active RPH license in state where job functions are performed and other states as required.
Devise and implement professional expectations; training for infusion therapy management staff.
Manage new projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (including Core Competencies)
All duties of a Pharmacy Manage! r, clinically and operationally
Strong leadership skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary to professionally and effectively convey ideas
Ability to understand and act on business principals of inventory management
Prioritization of daily tasks for team members and long range goals for managers
Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, Shipping Vendor Systems, Prescription Processing System, and supplier system
Education and Experience
BS or PharmD. in Pharmacy
Pharmacist must be registered or licensed as per Board of Pharmacy requirements in the State where job functions are performed. Registration or licensure must be in good standing.
5 years' experience in specialty or home infusion therapy.
Previous Management and Pharmacist-In-Charge positions.
