The primary responsibility of this role, as Senior Sales Consultant Diagnostic Imaging, is to contact, on a regular basis, present and prospective customers(physicians, hospitals (pharmacy! department, Radiology department, MR/CT), institutions,government facilities, nursing schools), to promote and sell our pharmaceuticaldivision's products in order to attain or surpass assigned quotas and objectives.
The incumbent will:
Establish and maintain an effective relationship with physicians, nurses, ancillary personnel,
pharmacists and hospitals to sell our pharmaceutical division's products and
provide information;
Establish customer focus/building positive relationships-penetration of large accounts and
identifying key decision makers. creative thought process;
Develop a customer base. utilize consultative skills in assisting customer with their business
team with customers as a business partner-proactive in seeking out potential customers,maintain knowledge of long term trends and patterns;
Create account business plans;
Create territory plan including goals and resource! allocation (coverage, sampling,
grant/education prop! osals, etc.) for key customers;
Gain formulary acceptance/compliance with managed care accounts;
Communicate complete reports (sales, market information, competitive activity, ideas for new
products, promotional activities, technical inquiries, etc.) to division sales manager and the
home office or as assigned;
Maintain a scientific understanding of all products and clinical papers. perform special
assignments, i.e., attending sales, medical and association meetings as assigned;
Control expenses within a defined budget, maintain and protect assigned company property;
Handle bi-monthly expense reports;
Stay current on product information and must follow MR/CT pharmaceutical/device
compliance codes.
Qualifications
Your qualifications The selected candidate is required to possess the following:
BA/BS required;
Biological Science or related discipline (D! iagnostic Imaging/Pharmaceutical/Device)
preferred;
Minimum 5 or more years of pharmaceutical/device selling experience preferred;
Consultative selling experience preferred;
Positioned based in Boston, MA;
Ability to travel 30%-40%; which will include overnight and/or weekend travel;
Valid Drivers License and clean driving record required;
Excellent written and oral communication skills required;
Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets, web based programs and I-Pad utilization
