Job Summary

Responsible for leading the production of general market broadcast activities derived from Walgreens creative sources both within and outside the company; attending and supervising production filming and recording sessions including national television commercials, national and spot radio commercials, digital advertising, and television integrations secured by the fiscal media buy to ensure that production is in compliance with authorized company guidelines, as well as within allotted fiscal budget for each initiative. Responsible for obtaining and administering department and legal approval of all television and radio scripts for broadcast produced for and by Walgreens, maintaining and distributing our Media Message Report and traffic logs to the agencies to ensure proper message on-air filming, coordinating target marketing programs and related broadcast media.

Job Responsibilities

(listed in order of importance and/or time spent)

Secures creative content for the scripting of all Walgreens national and spot radio, in-store radio, national television commercials and integration shoots secured by fiscal media plans.

Ensures the securing of set location, props, products, images, and wardrobe needed for commercial and integration opportunities with agencies, production companies, District Managers, and Store Managers.

Schedules and gives direction on production shoots/recording sessions for television commercials, television integrations, and radio spots, while maintaining the allotted budget for each initiative.

Acts as liaison with marketing and the outside creative sources to plan, develop and implement Digital Advertising media for the company, while maintaining the allotted budget for each initiative.

Collaborates with manager on proper messaging for all media purchased by the company through continual updates and dissemination to all involved agencies of the Advertising’s Media Messaging Report and rotation logs and ensures final messaging is trafficked accurately and timely to stations via agencies of record.

Oversees the production procedures of promotional broadcast including seasonal and sales promotions for radio, television, and in-store radio

Ensures proper departmental and legal approvals for all broadcast media.

Maintains current scripting logs for all current and recent Walgreens broadcast media including all general market TV, radio, and In-store radio and updates the media department’s status sheet to ensure proper and timely execution of all media production projects. Ensures content and mailing of the quarterly media updates for all Walgreens’ VPs.

Reviews and processes all in-store/spot radio, in-store TV, magazine and ad requests from departments with company as well as from vendors. Reviews and coordinates all added value programs garnered by fiscal media plan.

Reviews all broadcast advertising copy to assure compliance with Company policies, laws, and government regulations; investigates new broadcast content direction to enhance image and messaging for Walgreens

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications & Interests

Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3 years experience in radio and television production, including garnering props and approvals.

At least 1 year experience coordinating the activities or writers, directors, mangers and other personnel throughout the production process.

At least 2 years experience working with budgets.

At least 1 year experience monitoring postproduction processes to ensure accurate completion of details and managing production crews.

Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization.

Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives).

Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.

Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community & with vendors.

Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling).

Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font).

Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns).

Willing to travel 25% of the time for shooting (within state and out of state). Work required on weekends and evenings/nights

Preferred Qualifications & Interests

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing/Public Relations/ Communications/ Media/Video Production

At least 6 months experience managing messaging logs.
