Under general direction, responsible for designing and selling automated prescription filling systems to pharmacies within an assigned region. The markets managed by the S! ales Engineer include mail order, central fill, specialty pharmacies, long term care, retail and outpatient pharmacies .
In conjunction with the Account Executive, the Sales Engineer's efforts will include calling on and presenting to pharmacy executives, managers, operations staff, as well as individual pharmacy owners.
Primary responsibility includes designing equipment and system layouts based on customer business volume and growth, providing detailed staffing analyses and full ROI analyses; also assists with any responses to RFP/RFQ requests.
Establishes contacts with AmerisourceBergen drug distribution sales associates and executes co-marketing/sales relationships.
Works in collaboration with AutoMed System's Engineering Project Managers and Installation teams to achieve budgeted goals.
Works in conjunction with AutoMed's Account Executives to identify new customers, further penetrate and upgrade existing customers, and to establish strategic r! elationships.
Responsible for vetting new market opportuni! ties for the OptiFill product line.
Overseeing the Product Development process to insure that the customer's requirements are being met.
Develops marketing materials for the OptiFill product line.
Must be willing to travel up to 80% of the time.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Requires BS/BA Engineering Degree; experience and understanding of prescription fulfillment and compliance regulations a plus; must be familiar with the capital equipment budgeting, purchasing, and leasing processes; proven track record of driving results in pharmacy automation/capital equipment sales a plus; normally requires a minimum of five (5) years related and progressively responsible experience; two (2) to three (3) years proven and successful interfacing experience in a consultative or systems design role.
Proficiency with CAD software to design sophisticated central fill/mail order layouts
Must be comfortable with selling capital equipment systems b! ased on ROI and productivity enhancements

Strong presentation skills; proficiency at high level presentations including CEO, CFO, Vice President, Director of Pharmacy, Pharmacist and Technician
