Pharmacists Mutual Insurance Company is currently seeking a Human Resources Director for their location in Algona, IA (relocation assistance will be offered). The Human Resou! rces Director will be responsible to develop and implement Human Resources' plans and strategies that support the Company's vision and strategic plan.
Responsibilities of the Human Resources Director:
Provides direction and assures accountability in the performance of HR-related duties and in achieving management initiatives
Develops and oversees the implementation of a comprehensive recruiting strategy, including candidate interviewing, to meet the Company's succession plan and employment needs
Responsible for competitive employee benefit programs including evaluating and analyzing the most cost effective programs and services
Works with staff to develop specific training and development programs for new hires, succession planning, and career development for existing employees
Continually assesses the competitiveness of all HR programs and practices to ensure that the Company is the Employer of Choice in the area, attracting and retainin! g the best people
Capitalizes on technology to increase th! e efficiency of the HR department and to streamline processes
Develops, implements, and oversees Company policies and practices that are aligned with Company goals
Maintains knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments and applicable laws regarding HR
Advises management in the application of policies and in developing solutions
Counsels management in appropriate interventions and resolution of employee relations and staffing issues
Manages and completes projects within expected timeframes
Manages a staff of 3 Human Resources personnel
Requirements of the Human Resources Director:
Bachelor's degree
MBA preferred
SPHR/CEBS preferred
10 years of Human Resources experience
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
Project Management skills
