Pharmacy Technician

Location: Chicago, Illinois

Description: Comprehensive Pharmacy Services is currently interviewing Pharmacy Technician right now, this vacancy will be delegated in Illinois. You’ll assist in various pharmacy activities, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, and other duties not requiring the review of a pharmacist. The majority of task! s and responsibilities are related to preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications. Other duties include maintaining patient records, and setting up, packaging, and labeling of medication doses and billing. You will perform job duties under minimal supervision within pharmacy standards, written procedures and guidelines, and state regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for the accurate completion of daily activities and the follow through of tasks to ensure completion.

This position is scheduled 40 hours per week, 8 hr day shifts and includes working an every other weekend rotation. (Start time may be 6a, 6:30a or 7a)

Qualifications:

• Certified pharmacy technician with IL licensure
• Must have a at least 1 year recent pharmacy technician experience in a hospital
• E ffective verbal and written communication skills

Facility: Located in downtown Chicago near public transportation and freeway! s, Mercy is known for a number of distinguished programs inclu! ding cardiology, labor and delivery, urology, and diabetes. The Mercy inpatient pharmacy is open 24/7 and is a stand-alone pharmacy with a hybrid centralized/decentralized staffing model and is supported by centralized and decentralized automation products . Management of the pharmacy is outsourced to CPS.
