Newly created full time Registered Pharmacy Technician opportunity in our Lisle Medical Office Building to support the expansion of our pharmacy ! services and the opening of our Retail Pharmacy. M-F 8:00am-5:00pm. Must have a minimium of one+ full year related expereince.

Key Responsibility Areas:
**Depending on Practice Site Requirements, an incumbent in this position may not perform all the key responsibilities listed below.

However, it is expected that at least 80% of the responsibilities are performed for this job.

Travel to other sites may be required.

Pharmacy technicians will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist or physician. You will coordinate workflow with the nursing staff to meet the needs of our patients.

Proficient in sterile technique and infection control during IV compounding.

3.

Maintain inventory of pharmaceuticals through automation.

4.

Other non-clinical tasks would include “out date” inventory tracking, preparing and packaging compounded products for ! delivery, maintaining a sterile aseptic environment at all tim! es.

5.

Working with hazardous chemotherapy products in a “Chemogard” Hood.

6.

Working with non-hazardous products in a laminar flow hood.

7.

Excellent customer service skills

8.

Phone skills to include a compassionate tone while interacting will all patients, care givers and team members.

**Performs all other duties/responsibilities as assigned

Education and/or Training Required:
Certified technician preferred

Experience Required:
3 to 5 years as Pharmacy Technician

IV admixture knowledge a plus
