Reporting to the Division Director of Pharmacy, the Clinical Informatics Pharmacist is responsible for the development, building, implement! ation, and maintenance of all aspects of pharmacy-related applications, clinical information systems, and computerized pharmacy systems to provide comprehensive medication management services. Serves as a liaison to multiple vendors and departments, including information systems, finance, nursing informatics, and others as required. Will work with management and pharmacy staff across multiple locations to meet the underlying needs of the department, develop solutions, or request system enhancements. Assist in training pharmacists and pharmacy residents in pharmacy software and workflow.
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) degree OR Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPharm) degree with 3 years of hospital experience required. ASHP Accredited Residency in Pharmacy Practice (PGY1) is recommended. The Clinical Informatics Pharmacist is required to be a pharmacist with background and familiarity with hospital pharmacy practice. This position will work with the Meditech build and tr! oubleshooting, Pyxis technologies, CII safe, MedNet IV pump so! ftware, and a list of other systems. The Clinical Informatics Pharmacist will have responsibilities supporting four hospitals in the Hospital Sisters Health System. Residency training in pharmacy practice, drug information, or pharmacy administration or equivalent experience preferred.
