Translates prescriptions into the computer system for pharmacist approval. Must be able to input prescription orders accurately and in a timely fashion according to established departmental guidelines. Assists in completing and updating medication profiles for patients.Maintains complete and accurate dispensing or other required records of activity. Contacts physician offices for refills of continued prescriptions where permitted by State Pharmacy Regulations.May assist pharmacist in generating labels, stage, and pack medication and supplies based on State Pharmacy Regulations. Builds and maintains positive relationships with internal and external customers including physicians, pharmacists, nurses, payors, and vendors. Qualifications Current ILlinois Pharmacy technician license. Certification of training as required by individual State Pharmacy Regulations. Experience A minimum of 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician is required. Education High School Dipoloma or GED Employment Status Full Time
