Under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager, the Staff Pharmacist assumes overall responsibility for all pharmaceutical functions and maintains managerial responsibilities within the department.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an AACP accredited school and licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Illinois required; Minimum 1-2 years experience in a hospital setting .

Pharmaceutical Distribution Assumes overall responsibility for the acquisition, storage and dispensing of medication; Interprets and verifies physician orders; Enters medication orders into the computer system; Provides information and consultation to healthcare professionals and patients 2. Managerial Responsibility Coordinates daily operations of the Pharmacy Department; Supervises Pharmacy Technicians; Participates in the Pharmacy Intervention Program 3. Organizational Responsibility Shares in the Medical Center's vision, demonstrates its values, supports its philosophy and is sensitive to its mission; Demonstrates knowledge of and follows Departmental and Medical Center policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and Administrative Policies and Procedures Manual; Follows a regimen for professional growth; Performs all other duties related to this job Conditions of Employment Must complete yearly inservices and required medical testing Shift: am/pm Hours: 0.0 / Registry
