Further informations about this career opportunity please read the description below. JOB SUMMARY: Performs all functions of pharmaceutical care including medication and IV orders. Evaluates for appropriate drug, dose, allergies, interactions, and incompatibilities. Monitors levels of therapeutic drugs. Performs and supervises computer data entry related to patient profil. Monitors all medication dispensing for accuracy. Supervises filling of all presciptions and provides appropriate patient counseling. Collects and analyzes data for process improvement projects. Performs inservices to community and support groups. Performs other duties as assigned. May be required to work alternate shifts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains professionalism and conducts self as a role model, serving as a resource for all health system partners. Is an expert staff pharmacist who relies on skills of comprehensive knowledge and experience. Maintains practice by ongoing professional literature review, continuing education and self-evaluation. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION, TRAINING, & EXPERIENCE: Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Program. Hospital Pharmacy experience or residency preferred CERTIFICATIOIN/LICENSURE: Illinois Registered Pharmacist License OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Excellent interpretive/analitical skills for pharmaceutical applications Strong accuracy skills Computer experience SPECIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Good manual dexterity to perate keyboard and syringes. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. SUPERVISES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities
