Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy and have an advanced degree (Pharm. D, M.S.). Must be a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Illinois or reciprocity eligible. Advanced Degree (Pharm D, M.S.).
- Three years’ - prior management experience in hospital pharmacy is required.
DIRECTOR OF PHARMACY opportunity with 400 bed acute care hospital located in Central Illinois not far outside of Peoria and 90 minutes south of Chicago. Fully automated and decentralized pharmacy with CPOE in place, bar coding, and USP 797 complinat. Plans under way to build a new pharmacy. The Director will plan, organize and supervises the functions and activities in the hospital pharmacy areas. Develops and revises standard operating procedures and initiates projects as assigned. Communicates with other department managers to identify and resolve service problems; facilitates changes and accommodation. Manages the system for procurement and use of material resources.
